Gambian Nominated For Africa Youth Awards

Muhammed Lamin Saidykhan is a human rights activist who organised widespread protests to get long Gambia dictator Yaya Jammeh to step down is one of the Co-Movement Coordinators of Africans Rising for Justice, Peace and Dignity.
A Pan African grassroot Movement of the people and organisations working to foster an Africa-wide solidarity and unity of purpose of the Peoples of Africa to build the Future we want – a right to peace, social inclusion and shared prosperity.
Muhammed Lamin Saidykhan is a Gambian with a back ground of youth and women development, campaigns for social change, policy advocacy and Movement building.
Prior to joining Africans Rising, he coordinated an Alliance of 11 member farmer based organisations called National Alliance for Food Security.
He served as trainer for First Aid, Disaster Management, and Humanitarian law in the Red Cross. Muhammed Lamin also served as co-chair of ActionAid International Youth Working Group and was lead Coordinator of the youth-led Activista initiative, were was leading and coordinating ActionAid work with young people in 47 countries around the world.
